Mildred Ichingwa

Administrator

Mildred Ichingwa’s work is fueled by a steadfast belief in the transformative power of women—a “sleeping giant” whose collective strength is vital to societal progress. This conviction, rooted in her formative years, deeply resonates with WAN Mashinani’s mission to empower grassroots women. She is committed to equipping women to become influential changemakers leading efforts in environmental resilience, advancing economic justice, and fostering inclusive community development.
She firmly believes that lasting progress begins at the grassroots. By investing in women’s leadership and potential, she actively helps shape the thriving, resilient communities that WAN Mashinani envisions where women are the architects of a more equitable and prosperous future for all.

Esther Kimiti

Environmental Professional

A professional with a strong background in environmental planning and management, utilizing her expertise to drive sustainable project development and conservation efforts. With a Master's degree in Environmental Planning and Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Project Management, Esther has established herself as a leader in the field.
Passionate about community development, Esther has worked closely with local stakeholders to foster collaboration and inclusivity. Through her projects, she has empowered communities to actively participate in decision-making processes, promoting social equity and sustainable development. Her dedication to engaging with diverse groups has resulted in meaningful partnerships and long-lasting relationships built on trust and shared goals.

Ms. Annalice Achitsa

Youth Representative

Miss Achitsa is a grassroot woman also representing the youth with a Human Resource background, is a ‘get it done’ type of person. With passion for creating change in the lives of other grassroot women and youth she brings on board the bottom-up approach empowering grassroots women and the young generation in transforming water and environmental burdens into economic opportunities which is precisely what she has been doing at WAN Mashinani.
Outside of work, Miss Annalice is a member of Climate Change Accelerator Movement, an initiative that saw women across 9 counties trained on climate change resilience and mitigation. She is also an entrepreneur and, in most occasions, she has motivated other women and youth on entrepreneurship.

Dr. Geoffrey Anyembe

Educationist

Dr. Anyembe is an educationist holding a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Educational Administration with specialization in Educational Research and Evaluation and a member of the society Educational Research and Evaluation in Kenya. He is social researcher and evaluator with extensive experience of over 25years, the experience he has applied in carrying out needs assessment survey for the foundation. All the projects we have initiated are backed by extensive research to ensure that they achieve maximum impact to the consumers of the project activities.
